Lip Procedure Requirements
Must NOT be pregnant or breastfeeding (must be done breastfeeding for at least 45 days before the procedure.)
This procedure can trigger cold sores for carriers of the herpes simplex virus. To prevent cold sores from flaring up it is recommended to go to your family doctor and get an antiviral medication for two weeks prescribed. This must be taken 7 days prior procedure, the day of, and 7 days after. Note that a cold sore outbreak can alter the healed results of the tattoo.
Why Do I Need A Second Session?
During your 2nd session, our artist will not only go over any areas that faded, but the entire lip as well to ensure longevity. By doing this, you won't need to come in as frequently for touch-ups.
For new members to Lip Blushing, it will take 2 sessions to complete your desired lip color and ensure longevity. For Example: When applying nail polish, you need least 2-3 coats to achieve a solid color.
When should I book it?
You may book your 2nd Session as follows:
- For Lip Blush a follow up appointment should be booked 6-8 weeks after your 1st session appointment.
-For Lip Neutralization a follow up appointment should be booked 8-12 weeks after your 1st session appointment.
Please note: Booking your second session after the 12 week timeframe may result in additional charges due to extra work that may be needed. It is your responsibility to schedule your second session appointment.
After my 2nd session, when will I need another touch up?
If you want to keep your lips maintained, you will be required to come back every 12-18 months from your last appointment. If you decide not to proceed with a touch-up, your lips will last around 2 years and will eventually fade away. Longevity will vary per lifestyle and skin type.
- NO botox in lip area or lip fillers 4 weeks prior to the procedure.

- Must be at least 18 years old.
- If you are prone to or suffer from cold sores, you need to take an antiviral cold sore medication or a supplement of Lysine. Take this at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment and continue to take it until you are done healing. Without taking this precaution, the procedure will cause a flare up and alter the healed results.
